Sanford Spinners Announce Hunter Kane as New General Manager

The Sanford Spinners Baseball Club is excited to announce the appointment of Hunter Kane as the team’s new General Manager for the 2025 season. With a strong background in military service and sports management, Kane brings a wealth of leadership, operational expertise, and passion for the game to the Spinners organization. 

Originally from Columbia, South Carolina, Kane is currently pursuing a degree in Sports Management at Troy University after transferring from Grand Canyon University. Over the past eight years, he has proudly served in the U.S. Army with assignments in Germany, Georgia, and North Carolina. His dedication, discipline, and commitment to excellence align perfectly with the core values of the Spinners. 

Kane’s experience in baseball operations includes internships with the Edenton Steamers and the Hickory Crawdads, where he honed his skills in stadium operations, maintenance, and game-day logistics. His hands-on approach and ability to execute game-day operations at a high level will ensure that Spinners fans continue to enjoy a first-class experience at every home game.

Beyond his professional career, Kane enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Julia, and their daughter, Lila. An avid golfer and devoted sports fan, he proudly supports the Chicago Cubs and Florida State Seminoles—his wife’s alma mater. He also enjoys trips to the beach, reflecting his appreciation for community and leisure activities.
